Troll pictures are not only unamusing, but really annoying. We spend a lot of time on this blog and when you send in pictures (like the girl who just submitted a webcam picture of her face saying “…my beautiful work <3 Enjoy”) that are not photography (or photography that doesn’t follow the guidelines) it wastes our time and patience.

We’re having some serious problems with our messages and our queue. Newer submissions are sitting at the top of the list while some seem to be stuck at the bottom. We might end up turning off submissions for a few days while the queue things out, since we’ve got 300 some sitting there.
Also, accepting messages has not been working, either. I’ll accept some and refresh the page only to see them all sitting there. So if you’re not getting posted, we apologize, ,we’re trying to fix the problem!

Hey guys, just a quick little note.
Thanks for all the support and comments on the recent ‘drama’ going down on our blog. We will no longer be accepting and posting comments in regards to it. That includes comments in support of what we’re doing, and comments against what we were doing. we put the criteria in place because people were complaining about what was being posted. Then we got people yelling at us for putting a criteria on art. and now we’re getting yelled at for the criteria not being good enough. It’s something we’re not going to budge on. Like I said, we appreciate the support, but it’s time for us to move on.
In the future if there is a concern, leave it in the ask box and we’ll respond to you personally, probably through your own personal ask box or whatever, we don’t want it on the site anymore.
That being said, feel free to ask us any and all questions, submit whatever you want, and remember what i said about the disquis comments! They’re a really cool feature, and you can just comment on the photograph and the photographer will be able to see them. We just ask that you keep it to constructive feedback. If we see any harassing in the comments you’ll be banned from the blog. Sounds harsh, but we’re not about that.
Thanks to all our followers who’ve waited through all of this and put in their two cents, we appreciate your follow and all your feedback.
Happy New Years!

Hey all - Just a few notes about submissions.
Before you submit, please read over our criteria! We will not accept photographs unless they meet our criteria! We get a large number of submissions every day, and we do look at every one of them.
Look over this before you submit. We get hundreds of submissions every day, and if out of 200 only 80 meet our criteria, it’s not worth it to anybody to keep accepting submissions. If you continue to submit work repeatedly that does not fit our criteria, you will be blocked from submitting. This seems harsh, but it’s not something we can continue to go through.
One more note: We are not a promotional blog. We will not reblog a photograph from your personal blog, or post links to your personal photography accounts. Upon submitting a photograph, you may include a click through link to a personal webpage, and provide credit underneath the photograph. Anything else will be deleted.
If you have any questions about this, please refer to our submission criteria, our FAQ, or ask us a question
I’m getting really tired of this question coming into our Ask so I’m saying it one final time.
No. None of us are Filipino.
I would be much obliged if the Ask box would only be used for photography related questions; and not just “Which camera is better?/Which should I buy?”

After going through submissions, it seems that I need to reiterate the submission criterion.
Any submissions that do not follow the criteria will not be posted.

As of today, I’m no longer accepting submissions with text overlays. By these I mean the blurred photos with no subject and an unrelated quote thrown on top of it. The reason for not accepting them anymore is because they’re more about the quote than about the photo and this is not fuckyeahquotes.
If you’re adding a signature/watermark to your images to mark them as yours, that’s still acceptable. But nothing more than that.
